No, absolutely not. This method may have a certain degree of effectiveness in lower forms, but surely not in mock exams and public exams. Take a look at HKCEE and HKALE past papers and you will discover that what the HKEAA requires is not just memorisation!

I agree we have the freedom to choose how we want to prepare for exams, but we are not computers. There's no direct input-output relation between revision and taking exams. Truly understanding a subject takes time.

Revising knowledge acquired throughout the whole term just one day before the exam is risky. Are you so sure that you will fully understand what you have learned in lessons?

Leaving it till the last minute means if you have any difficulties, you will lose the chance to get help from classmates and teachers.

Students who cram before an exam rely on their short-term memory. Although young people claim that they possess such ability and that they get satisfactory results, a lot of time is actually spent on reorganising their data and notes. They end up staying up all night to get their studying done. How can you concentrate on your work when you are lacking in sleep?
