Two final-year City University of Hong Kong students have won graduate traineeships at a multi-national bank for their outstanding academic results and active participation in extra-curricular activities. Sally Sun Qianhui, who is studying accountancy, and Iris He Haner, from the department of economics and finance, will start working at the bank, focusing on investment banking. Ms Sun, who transferred from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, was top of her class for three years in a row. She was also involved with CityU's Accounting Scholar Programme last year. She won the Quest for the Future International Accountants Finance Case Study Competition. Ms He, also from Shanghai, has served as the external vice-president of the Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society's Hong Kong Chapter. She also helped organise a student leadership conference in 2004. Graduate trainees in investment banking can expect $30,000-$50,000 per month.
