FASHION SHOW MARKS XBOX ANNIVERSARY

To celebrate the third anniversary of the online gaming service Xbox Live, a  fashion show will be held today at 3.30pm at LCX in Harbour City.

The outfits have been designed by students from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  Model Rosemary Vandenbroucke and Canto-pop singer Deep Ng Ho-hong will strut their stuff on the catwalk.

Also attending the function are toy designers Brothersfree, Danny Chan, Ultraman and Husky Kevin who recently designed the interface for Xbox 360.

A special gift will be given to patrons of the fashion show whose birthdays fall in April.

STENCIL PRINTS ON DISPLAY

Seventy  stencil prints by Chinese artists Yu Ping and Ren Ping are on display until July 15 at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Library.

The exhibition,  A Quest for Harmony - Stencil Prints,  features a large artwork, The Chart of the Sacred Miracles of Mazu (1.12 metres x 10.65 metres), together with works from three series: folk music, countryside and campus.

The campus theme, especially designed to mark the HKUST's 15th anniversary, focuses on the institution's landmarks.

The two artists are also experts in paper-cutting  and have won many awards, including first prize at the National Paper-cutting Grand Award Competition.
