Aigburth is a key component in the luxury portfolio of Kerry Properties

THE SUPER-SIZE luxury apartment is something of a rarity in Hong Kong. So a tenant in search of acres of space and with a monthly rental budget of at least $300,000 might wish to take note of this 6,100 square foot simplex unit at Aigburth, in Mid-Levels.

Aigburth is one of the key properties in the luxury portfolio of premier landlord Kerry Properties. The portfolio includes Branksome Crest, Tavistock and Branksome Grande.

Aigburth, at 12 Tregunter Path, has four simplex units, each about 6,000 sq ft and occupying a whole floor in the top levels of the building. There are 61 other apartments in the development, each about 3,000 sq ft. The building was completed in 1999.

Kerry Real Estate Agency senior marketing manager Lily Choi said an apartment this size, especially in a prestigious luxury residential neighbourhood, was not easy to come by in Hong Kong. 'There is a very limited supply of apartments this size,' she said.

The Aigburth unit on the 47th floor has a master bedroom and three en suites, a family room, a study, a powder room and two maids' rooms. The living and dining area exceeds 1,350 sq ft and the master bedroom is more than 500 sq ft. The landlord expects to lease the unit for about $370,000 a month, exclusive of management fees.
