After its successful collaboration with three young Parisian designers last year, French luxury brand Celine has enlisted the talents of Japanese artist Mai Ueda for its new collection. The Mai bag (left; $3,900) is inspired by the designer's involvement in the avant-garde Neen art movement, which uses modern technology in the creation process. Shaped like a disposable shopping bag, it has been given the luxe treatment in kangaroo leather with a unique fish-scale surface. The design is simple, durable and can accommodate anything from a laptop to a mobile phone. A smaller drawstring pouch (right; $750) and purse ($860) are also available.
