Two local sides will make a final effort to qualify for the knock-out stages of the AFC Cup when they take on Malaysian opponents in their group matches tonight. While league champions Happy Valley will meet Selangor in group F at the Mongkok Stadium, Xiangxue Sun Hei will have to travel to Malaysia for their group E match against Perlis. Neither side can afford losing again, especially Valley, who were defeated by Selangor 4-3 in Kuala Lumpur two weeks ago. Valley have collected only three points in their first three matches and a defeat tonight will end their campaign. The influential Cheung Sai-ho is still unavailable due to a groin injury he sustained against Selangor. Sun Hei, who have won four points in three outings, finished their last two games with 10 men. Striker Chan Ho-man is suspended following his red card against Perlis two weeks ago, while defender Tseng Siu-wing also sits out the match for accumulating two yellow cards. However, striker Julius Akosah returns after serving a one-match ban.
