Sony DVD Walkman D-VE7000S: Sony enters the portable DVD player market with this Walkman-branded product featuring a bright 17cm screen. Despite its association with the Walkman brand, the D-VE7000S is essentially a plain DVD player that's similar to many others in the market today. There is no recording capability (i.e. no DVD burner), nor any internal memory to make it a portable media player. But it does come with a docking station featuring stereo speakers. (Price: to be determined)

BenQ-Siemens S88: This handset from the newly merged BenQ-Siemens comes with pretty much all the features you'd expect from a high-end model, but at a mid-range price. The tri-band GSM phone is equipped with a brilliant 256,000-colour display and a 2 megapixel digital camera that has autofocus, a built-in flash and video recording. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS data and support for 3D surround sound ringtones. (Price: $2,680)

O2 Xda Atom: The latest PDA phone from O2 is basically an updated version of the company's Xda Mini handset, but includes a few improvements. Both the processor (Intel 416MHz) and the operating system (Windows Mobile 5.0) are updated versions of the Mini's features. The Atom also adds one thing that its predecessor lacked - wireless LAN support. The Atom is tri-band GSM, without 3G support. (Price: $5,800)
