The brand has made a dazzling comeback with a collection of refreshing pieces
After a five-year struggle to revitalise Corum since its acquisition by former president Severin Wunderman, the brand is finally coming of age.
President Michael Wunderman, who took over the helm from his father in 2004, said the company had created a family of watches - instead of introducing random lines - and this had been reaffirmed by the response to its new products at this year's Basel fair.
'Today is only the second day and interest has been very good, phenomenal, in fact,' Mr Wunderman said.
Testament to its new-found self-assurance is the success of the Golden Bridge watch.
The original design with transparent sapphire crystals showcasing the bridge of its horological inner workings was retrieved from the dusty Corum archives and relaunched at last year's fair with state-of-the-art technologies. The watch is sold out for the next two years.
