The 'Eurofighter Typhoon' Flieger Chronograph will fly into action with the pilots of the hi-tech aircraft
Traditionally known for its alliance with the German air force and as supplying the official watches for Nato pilots, Tutima has become a growing presence on the radar screen.
Its Classic Flieger Chronograph was the watch of choice for Hollywood film makers with the timepiece making appearances in a number of films lately.
Its screen debut was in Jurassic Park II five years ago, when character Billy Brennan appeared wearing the Classic Flieger Chronograph. The same watch appeared later that year in Ocean's Eleven (Don Cheadle), on the wrist of Al Pacino's character Walter Burke in The Recruit, and last year when Bruce Willis wore the watch in The Hostage.
The recent fame has not deterred the brand from doing what it does best, and it was awarded the sole rights to produce the official Eurofighter watch for Eurofighter Typhoon pilots. The aircraft is considered by some air force crew members to be the most modern fighter aircraft today.
The Tutima F2 UTC 'Eurofighter Typhoon' Flieger Chronograph features the classic Tutima steel case with a fluted rotating bezel and red marker. As well as the hour and minute stopwatch, the watch has a second time zone. A central second hour hand gives a 24-hour readout, and can be set via the crown to any time zone, independent of the time in the wearer's home zone.
