Shop A, 2/F Hennessy Apartments, 48 Percival Street, Causeway Bay Tel: 2895 0818 Open: noon-3pm, 6pm-11pm Cuisine: Japanese. Price: Dinner for two is about $650, without alcohol. Ambience: The clean, comfortable restaurant has beige wood and red sofas. Large bay windows look out on the busy streets of Causeway Bay. There's a no-smoking area. Pros: Impeccable service by polite, knowledgeable staff who recommended specials, most of which we liked. The raw and cooked dishes are impressive. Cons: The red-cushioned seats make the restaurant look more like a fast-food place (albeit a fashionable one), rather than an upscale Japanese restaurant. Recommended dishes: The assorted sashimi ($250, below) had great variety - nine types of seafood, including salmon, yellowtail and shrimp, along with more expensive types such as geoduck and scallop. The selection was fresh and well-presented. The servers recommended the mitsuba shrimp tempura ($80). Although the shrimp lacked taste, they had a light, crispy crust and the mistuba leaves - trefoil, better known as Japanese parsley - gave a fresh, distinctive flavour. Pan-fried Japanese dumplings ($30, right) had thin, delicate skins. The mentaiko chicken wings ($48) were rather small, but well-stuffed with the spicy fish roe. What else? The staff gave us a complimentary scoop of refreshing citrus sorbet.
