The elder brother of Canto-pop diva Anita Mui Yim-fong has filed a High Court writ against the hospital where the singer died in 2003 at 40.

Peter Mui Kai-ming is suing Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital for $3 billion over his sister's treatment for cervical cancer. He is likely to ask their mother, Tam Mei-kam, to give evidence.

Mr Mui yesterday appeared in the Master's Court, seeking an adjournment of 28 days for filing evidence in support of his case, including his mother's affidavits.
