Art lovers and socialites descended on Opera Gallery late in March to get a close look at some of  the 20th century's most influential paintings.

The event marked the opening of A Journey of Masterpiece, a month-long exhibition featuring more than 70 paintings by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Auguste Renoir and Marc Chagall, with a combined worth of US$20 million.

Among those attending the cocktail reception were Opera Gallery founder Gilles Dyan, Joanna Hickton, and Metro radio chief Bianca Ma Kin-san.
