Armani/Bar HK opened two weeks ago in Chater House, in the second-floor space that was previously the Emporio Armani Caffe. The elegant 7,500 sq ft space houses a 40-seat restaurant, Italian-style coffee bar, wine bar and 20-seat lounge/VIP room. The restaurant menu, by Italian chef Claudi Conforti, includes lava-stone-grilled lobster with portobello mushrooms, arugula, tomatoes and white truffle dressing (bottom; $198); risotto with goose liver, Barolo, mushrooms and black truffle oil ($178); roast farm spring chicken with mascarpone and black truffle filling and marsala wine reduction ($178); roasted rack of lamb with ratatouille, minted red chicory, gorgonzola and shallots (below; $198); and desserts such as tiramisu ($58), orange-flavoured rice fritters with espresso ice cream ($58) and hot dark chocolate torta with passion fruit, grappa, fig and raspberry sauce ($78). The lounge menu has pizzas (with prosciutto and arugula, $168; or gorgonzola, smoked mozzarella, Taleggio and parmesan, $138), salads, pastas and risotto. Two-course set lunches range from $180 to $320.
