With comedy queen Miriam Yeung Chin-wah going for more serious roles, Fiona Sit Hoi-kei has been picked to take over Yeung's role as a slightly silly but kind-hearted policewoman in Love Undercover 3. But amusingly, Sit says the funniest part of the movie happens off-screen. '[Actor] Hui Siu-hung and I started to sing all our conversation out like a song,' she said. 'We also started jumping around like rabbits, playing [the game of] paper, stone and scissors to keep ourselves energetic.' She said the character was going to be very different from Yeung's in the previous two box office hits. It's going to be a much 'greener' policewoman, who is accidentally invited to join the force after saving people's lives in a car accident. This is the first time Sit has played a lead character in a comedy. Previously, she was cast in roles that required her to cry all the time, as in Too Young and Embrace your Shadows. 'I think the trickiest part is to grasp the fine difference between what is too showy and what is not,' she said.
