In tune with each other
Local pupils Edmond Leung Ho-yin, 10 (top) and Athena Lai Ching-hei, six, meet members of Uganda's Watoto Children's Choir who are in Hong Hong for two weeks. The 18 children, all Aids orphans, are on a 71/2-month tour of Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Team leader Susan Mutebi said Uganda, with a population of 27 million, had about two million orphans of whom more than 880,000 had lost their parents to Aids. Athena, who is a pupil at Victoria English Primary School, Causeway Bay, said: 'I was a little bit scared when I first saw them but after they sang and danced I admired them and became their friend. They're so lovely, I want them to stay. Two weeks is too short a time.' The choir is visiting schools next week and will also be performing in shopping malls. For details visit www.ccn.org.hk/watoto
