13 injured in Lion Rock pile-up A pile-up between two double-decker buses, two goods vehicles and a car in Lion Rock Tunnel Road just before 8am yesterday left 13 people injured. The injured were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Caritas Medical Centre, with two men and a woman remaining for treatment being in a stable or satisfactory condition. Separately, a 41-year-old man was sent to Eastern Hospital after being hit by a goods van in Carmel Road, Stanley, at 12.30pm. Wild monkeys keep officials on the hop The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department estimates there are 1,500 wild monkeys in Hong Kong. They are mainly found at Kam Shan, Lion Rock and Shing Mun country parks, and the Tai Po Kau Special Area. In the past three years, the department has received 352 reports of problems with wild monkeys in these places. Man, 51, arrested for impersonating police A 51-year-old man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer. The man produced a fake police warrant card when he was stopped by a patrolling officer in Hunghom on Tuesday. Handcuffs and an extendable baton were also found in his possession. The man is suspected to be connected to a case of theft of $4,900 in Shamshuipo on May 9. Thieves grab $23,000 Thieves have stolen $23,000 in local and mainland currency from four offices in Electric Road, North Point, after forcing open a gate and raiding the offices on three different floors.
