I Am Me by Ashlee Simpson
I Am Me by Ashlee Simpson
Review by Tiffany Wong, Diocesan Girls' School
The 21-year-old pop star, and the sister of singer Jessica Simpson, has already sold four million albums. And her latest release, I Am Me, is a masterpiece.
The title goes well with Ashlee's personality. Ashlee once said: 'No matter what I go through, I always remain who I am. I can fall on my face or I can have a moment of glory. And, no matter what, I remain my dorky self.'
Among the 11 tracks in I Am Me, my favourite is Catch Me When I Fall. The song has a soft rhythm and meaningful lyrics, which tells us how sad she felt after being caught lip-syncing on Saturday Night Live. I sympathised with her after listening to the song.
I Am Me is different from her debut album, Autobiography. The lyrics in I Am Me shows that she has learned a lot from her past experiences and become more mature. The album will be a wonderful addition to your collection.
