Chung Ying Theatre invites students to watch a hilarious play, The Last Bet of My Dead Aunt, and then go backstage to find out how theatrical productions are staged.
The comedy, which runs from this Friday until June 4 at City Hall, was written by up-and-coming playwright Szeto Wai-kin.
It opens with Aunt Luk dying after she wins first prize in the Mark Six. Her nephew wants to
use the lottery money to pay his debts.
But to get the money, he needs to first find the winning Mark Six ticket and show it to a Jockey Club manager, who will visit him at his house.
To encourage young people to learn more about the theatre and what is involved in putting on a play, Chung Ying invites schools to join a backstage tour after the performance on certain dates.
