The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is organising a consultation day for Joint University Programmes Admission Scheme (Jupas) applicants this Saturday. The university will provide information on its full-time degree and sub-degree programmes, including admission requirements and career prospects. This will help prospective students to make up their minds before the Jupas choices amendment deadline on May 29. Academic staff will answer questions and student ambassadors will share their experiences about programme selection, admission interviews and study placements. Representatives from the student affairs office will introduce the financial assistance schemes, placements and opportunities for all-round development offered by PolyU. In the next academic year, the university will offer 59 full-time programmes, including 41 degree and 18 sub-degree courses. PolyU has also introduced new scholarship schemes for students with outstanding academic and non-academic achievements. The consultation day will start at 1pm at PolyU's Hunghom campus. It will be postponed to the following Saturday in case of bad weather.
