Students with outstanding academic and sports achievements can get into City University (CityU) through its new A+++ Scholarship Schemes.
The new schemes are open to all students applying for CityU's bachelor's degree programmes through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (Jupas).
The lucky candidates will get an entrance scholarship and a student exchange scholarship.
If they excel in sport, they could also get a residence scholarship. The maximum amount a student can receive is $280,000.
'We strive to provide students with a professional education and a holistic learning experience,' said Richard Ho Yan-ki, CityU's vice-president (undergraduate education).
Under the new schemes, students who score 16 points or above in two Advanced Level (A-Level) subjects or in one A-Level subject plus two Advanced Supplementary Level subjects - together with at least a grade C in English or Chinese language and culture, will get an entrance scholarship of $40,000 per year. If they score 18 points or above, they will be awarded $50,000 per year.
