Glasses were clinking at the Kee Club last month as Macallan Whisky unveiled its 50-year, single-malt set in a Lalique decanter. Only four of the limited-edition decanters were allotted to the Hong Kong market, each bearing the names of Macallan master whiskey maker Bob Dalgarno and Lalique glass master Jean Claude Hertlich. On the night, one decanter was auctioned off, fetching a staggering $108,000. Models Rosemary Vandenbroucke and Balia Chan Pui-ka showed off the glasses and whisky display - only to let slip that it was tea and not whisky in the glass, but no one seemed to mind. Guests included Maxxium wine director Robert Temple, jazz singer Elaine Liu, architect Andrew Kinoshita, television presenter Geoff Wong Chi-hung and Leon Tong Siu-wai.
