When only the best will do

City University has launched an 'A+++ scholarship scheme' for outstanding students applying through Jupas for programmes from September. Those with outstanding academic results will be offered an entrance scholarship of $40,000 to $50,000 per year and a one-off exchange scholarship of up to $40,000. Those who also show outstanding sports performance will receive a residence scholarship of $10,000 per year.

HKUST honours Lee

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has renamed its library after property tycoon Lee Shau-kee after he donated $33 million to its development fund through the Lee Shau Kee Foundation last year.

PolyU offers second thoughts

Starting salaries grow

The average monthly starting salary of PolyU graduates rose last year by 10 per cent to $11,133, a survey of graduates' destinations has shown. Among 2,093 graduates who took part in the survey, 97.5 per cent were in employment or full-time study by December.

Life in the fast track

Polytechnic University has launched the 'FastTrack to the Real World' BBA Accounting and Finance programme for up to 40 students a year, offering exchange opportunities and internship with international accounting firms and financial institutions.

City University has partnered with two accountancy firms in Singapore to give overseas work experience to eight final-year students in its Department of Accountancy.
