A new generation of office workstation computers from Dell is touted

as capable of handling the most demanding business applications up to 155 per cent faster than its predecessor. The Precision 690 and 490 workstations are built with Intel's dual-core Xeon processors, more scalable memory and the latest dual graphics capabilities. These machines are designed to run compute-intensive applications such as mechanical design and seismic data analysis. The Dell Precision 690 is priced from $16,559, while pricing for the Precision 490 starts at $10,271.
