Bubbly babes in the pink

It was ladies' night at Petrus late in April as a select group of socialities and champagne aficionados gathered to celebrate the arrival of Veuve Clicquot Rose.

Pink was the colour theme for the invitation-only dinner. Richmonde managing director Boris de Vroomen welcomed everyone, and winemaker Francois Chirumberro, who flew in for the event, explained the qualities of the new rose.

After the meal, the 30 guests, including Shirley Hiranand, Reina Chau, Sharie Ross Tse, Claire Hsu-Vuchot, Noreen Richards, Lumen Kinoshita and Kathy Kwei, were presented with a Veuve Clicquot traveller case containing two glasses and a bottle of the rose.
