English Adventure, a double-decker bus for English language learning, is now in its second year and is becoming increasingly popular among local students.
The vehicle, donated by Kowloon Motor Bus, has served nearly 18,000 Form One and Form Two students and 400 teachers since it was launched in January last year.
A joint venture between the British Council Hong Kong and insurance company Prudential, the programme uses the latest technology and materials to raise young people's interest in learning English.
It is also aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of English among the community.
The mobile classroom, which caters only to first and second formers, visits secondary schools around the SAR four days a week. Each registered school can use the bus for free for two days, with a British Council teacher providing one free lesson each day.
Teaching materials designed by British Council are provided to the schools.
Participating students will learn how to use English in real-life situations.
