A BUSINESSMAN and a businesswoman accused of stealing more than $6 million from a bank account appeared in Eastern Court yesterday. Millar Tsoi Chick-yee, 46, and Karen Yau Ka-ling, 35, face 59 counts of theft. They are alleged to have stolen the money from GRE (Hong Kong) Ltd's bank account at the Bank of Tokyo between February 1991 and September last year. No plea was taken. Tsoi and Yau were granted bail of $500,000 each and undertook not to leave Hong Kong. Magistrate Ian Carlson adjourned the case until December 30 to allow time to prepare transfer papers to the District Court.
