If you are a highly experienced architect looking for a new challenge, then this vacancy with an international architectural and interior design projects company may fit the bill.
The company is seeking a director of architecture who will be responsible for setting up the architectural unit in Hong Kong. The director will be in charge of development, implementation and management of the office, and marketing and business development strategies.
Goldcrest Consultants (HK), which is handling the selection process, said the position would provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to build an independent business unit while still being involved in general management.
'For the right candidate there is also a future opportunity to assume a regional role and develop the business in new locations,' Goldcrest director Ben Butt said.
Maturity and motivation are requirements of the job to ensure that the unit's projects are delivered to a high standard. Applicants should have outstanding people skills because a client base and continued client management will be part of the day-to-day duties.
'Ensuring that the architectural unit achieves profitability while maintaining the company's standards of service is a critical aspect of the position,' Mr Butt said. 'This type of job does not come up very often so it is an excellent opportunity for someone working as a senior architect who is looking for a challenge.'
