'The side winkers going on may have helped but I actually think he's a real racehorse. You saw how he found the line today'

Australian trainer David Hall's flourishing finish to the season continued at Sha Tin yesterday as he landed a double and snared the day's Class One feature with Absolute Champion in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Trophy along the way.

Hall is finding the winning post strongly this term, as did Jubiloso and Absolute Champion to take him past 30 winners, with jockey Brett Prebble giving masterful displays on the pair.

'I have to be pretty happy with today - five runners for two wins and three seconds,' Hall said. 'It could be better, of course, but that's really pleasing, seeing all the horses run so well.'

Absolute Champion's reputation as a rogue continues to confound Hall, who said the Marauding gelding had not given him a moment's worry since joining the stable several months ago.

'I thought today that Royal Delight might be just too good for us, but there's been nothing wrong with how he's gone since he came to me,' Hall said.

'His first run was very good, quite unlucky, and then he ran well again last time on the wet track. All he needed was a good track and a fast pace and he got that today.
