I HAVE to admit I know a lot of very weird people. These folks are from the far side; one can short of a six-pack.
They get a high weirdo rating due not only to the way they show up; their real weirdness lies in their not seeing themselves as strange.
Someone who sees he might be a bit off the planet and promotes and controls it to within acceptable bounds can rejoice in being called eccentric. This contrived behaviour is really just a way to looking different, attracting attention and being seen as a bit outrageous, while remaining basically conservative and risking nothing.
A weirdo who knows, understands and accepts all his weirdo characteristics fully is likely to be a happy, balanced, normal human being.
But the true weirdos are all those people - and that is every human being on the planet - who go to incredible lengths to hide their weirdness behind what we loosely refer to as our image.
That is particularly weird because the more we try to hide it the more obvious it becomes. Like a woman with a backside that measures three axe handles across and wears shapeless dresses the size of circus tent so no one will notice she's got a huge butt.
