Lane Crawford IFC offers a full wedding registry service in the Home and Lifestyle department. Items include wine and champagne glasses, candles, tea sets and bed linen.

White Contemporary Homes (Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui) No official gift registry, but couples can make a list of selected items, which is left in the shop so family and friends can make purchases. Goods wrapped and delivered. Couples are entitled to discounts on future purchases.

Tequila Kola (Horizon Plaza, Ap Lei Chau) has a registry service. Couples e-mail a list of selected items to guests. A 5 per cent discount on purchases. Items delivered free of charge within Hong Kong.

Kou (Fung House, Central) offers a registry service on furniture, paintings, tableware, glassware, silverware, home accessories and even underwear. Those clocking up $30,000 or more in gifts can use the Kou boutique as a venue for wedding photography, free of charge.

Heather & March (Prince's Building, Central) Offers a registry service on all items in store. Mostly French brands of home products and accessories - chinaware, tableware, crystal, cutlery, porcelain, and so on. A 10 per cent discount is offered on any extras bought from the list.

Good Laque (Pedder Building, Central) Not a gift registry service but has a 'touch-of-the-orient' selection of lacquer items suitable as gifts or party favours. These include red lacquer coaster sets and trays with gold double happiness logo, chopsticks, napkin rings and silk-covered photograph albums.
