It is not a famous or elite school, but this year Hang Seng School of Commerce has produced two students who scored the highest number of As - six of them.
Queenie Chan Sin-ting, one of the two students at the Sha Tin school, said she had never expected to see a single A.
'I felt so uncertain after the exams that I didn't dare expect too much,' Queenie said. 'I just called my parents and they couldn't believe [my results] either.'
She said the key to getting good results was regular hours of work and rest. 'I sleep at least six to seven hours a night, even during the exams,' she said. 'I always go to bed before midnight.'
Annie Yam Shu-jun, Hang Seng's other straight-A student, said she had once thought of giving up study during her first days at the school.
'I used to study in Kowloon True Light Middle School which was a Chinese medium school,' Annie said. 'I felt so uncomfortable when I first entered Form Six because it was a totally new environment. The subjects were new. The medium of instruction was new.
'My academic performance wasn't very good during my first days in Form Six. I sometimes failed in the tests and quizzes.
