With the World Cup finals almost over, fans wanting to replay their favourite moments should head to Alfred Dunhill and check out their luxury football table. Customers can order a table in ash, walnut, maple or oak, with fittings in a variety of metals including brass and brushed aluminium. The tables cost from $30,000 and will be delivered three to six months after your order is made.
One novel feature is that you can have the faces of your friends and/or favourite footballers etched onto the game pieces thanks to Dunhill's 'Doppelganger' technology. Once you have chosen the people you want to include, their features are micro-cast on to the pieces then hand-painted by an artist. For those worried about heat and humidity damaging the table, there is a thermometer, barometer and hygrometer (which measures humidity) built into a compartment under the table's surface. There is also a pitch lighting system that uses LED bulbs, which are more durable, give off less heat and are more easily directed than other light sources.
