I RECENTLY attended a performance by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra when they played a piece entitled Death and Fire - Dialogue with Paul Klee by Tan Dun. This piece was apparently inspired by a visit the composer made to an exhibition of the painter Paul Klee's works at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and represents a discussion between the composer and the paintings. (This description is from the programme notes).

I am most grateful that I have never seen any of Paul Klee's works.
