Airing a grievance

DAB lawmaker Choy So-yuk and Environmental Protection Department acting director Michael Chiu Tak-lun check the air quality under the Canal Road flyover in Causeway Bay yesterday. A survey by the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong of 300 people waiting for buses at the terminus under the flyover found 80 per cent of them believed the air quality was very poor. The party urged the government to place more plants in the area. Mr Chiu said improvements should be made for the whole district, not just the terminus. He said bus companies should look at ways to reduce emissions.
