Beijing newspapers reported yesterday that CCTV president Zhao Huayong took Huang to task at a special internal meeting, warning him of the seriousness of his outburst. All CCTV staff should take note, Zhao added. Huang showed a very sincere attitude during his 'self-examination', but he did not speak during the meeting, the Beijing Times reported.

A recent survey showed CCTV5 had 71 per cent share of the audience during World Cup broadcasts.
