Morton's of Chicago has launched a guidebook on steak for people who prefer to cook at home. Morton's Steak Bible ($240) contains recipes that have never been published, and include recipes from Porterhouse and Cajun rib-eye to beef fillet Oskar. There is also a chapter on Morton's sauces, signature dishes, cocktails, snacks, appetisers and desserts, from Morton's cosmopolitan and mini cheeseburgers to sea scallops wrapped with bacon and the restaurant's upside-down apple pie. The book is available at the restaurant. Outdoor furniture specialist Love that Lifestyle (Horizon Plaza) sells numerous cookbooks including the Beefeater cookbook ($95), which has pages of barbecue recipes from kebabs to fish and steaks, and even recommends wines to go with the dishes.
