beijing residents turned on to TV coverage

Television will be the most popular way to watch the games for Beijing residents, a new survey has found. A Beijing Academy of Social Sciences report says 85 per cent of those surveyed would watch the event on TV, while 42 per cent would turn to newspapers and 35 per cent would listen to the radio. Only 24 per cent said they would attend events and high prices would put 52 per cent off buying tickets.

China's Olympic hopefuls are turning to Wales for advice on how to succeed in 2008. Athletes and coaches are pouring over the pages of Structure and Function of the Musculoskeletal System, written by Professor Jim Watkins, head of sports science at Swansea University. The academic has reversed the long trend of westerners seeking cures from traditional Chinese medicine, reports the Western Mail.
