Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Chai Wan
Updated at 7.46pm: Police on Tuesday appealed for information about a traffic accident in Chai Wan last month in which a 47-year-old man died.
About 7.10am on July 19, a taxi driven by the 47-year-old man was travelling along westbound Chai Wan Road.
At the junction with Yee Shun Street, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and subsequently rammed an iron railing.
After the crash, the driver was found injured in his vehicle. He was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he died on July 23.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
