kazakhstan oil arrives at petrochina refinery
PetroChina's first shipment of crude oil from Kazakhstan via the 1,200km China-Kazakhstan pipeline built by its parent and a Kazakhstan state oil firm, has arrived at its refinery at Dushanzi, Xinjiang autonomous region. The refinery's annual capacity will be expanded from six million tonnes to 10 million tonnes by 2008.
airport to upgrade baggage handling system
The Hong Kong International Airport has signed a HK$30 million consultancy contract with Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong to double the capacity of its baggage handling system to 16,000 bags per hour. The upgrade, to be completed by 2009, is estimated to cost a total of HK$700 million.
rexcapital buys 70pc of lottery machine firm
Rexcapital Financial Holdings is buying 70 per cent of Guard Libang, a mainland lottery machine supplier, for HK$157.04 million - HK$68.24 million in cash and the issue of 240 million new shares at 37 HK cents each.
