The celebrities visited Nairobi, the capital of the East African country, from July 9 to 19 as part of a team from the local charity Oxfam Hong Kong.

They filmed a promotional television show in the towns of Kajiado and Wajir.

'It was an amazing experience for us,' said Pang, whose latest film, Isabella, competed at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year. 'We were told that we were the first Chinese film crew to be in Kajiado.'

More than four million Kenyans are suffering from hunger due to a five-year drought in parts of the country.
