Days after the launch of a book detailing former president Jiang Zemin's overseas trips, a collection of his speeches and articles is about to hit bookstores.
The three-volume The Selected Works of Jiang Zemin will be published this month, according to an online advertisement posted by a large Beijing bookstore.
The advertisement placed by the Wangfujing Bookstore said the series would be published soon and advance orders could be placed. But the advert was dropped from the bookstore's website on Monday, apparently after drawing attention from overseas media.
It said the book was a collection of speeches and articles on issues ranging from economics to foreign policy, published by the Party Literature Research Centre of the Communist Party's Central Committee.
It follows the launch last Sunday of For A Better World: Jiang Zemin's Overseas Visits - another collection documenting the former leader's diplomatic ventures during his presidency. Last year saw the publication of an unofficial biography, The Man Who Changed China: The Life and Legacy of Jiang Zemin.
Mr Jiang will become the first leader from his generation to publish his selected works, an honour usually reserved for the most senior leaders, such as Deng Xiaoping and Mao Zedong .
