Bargain hunters heading to Shenzhen have a new time-out option. The Landmark Hotel Shenzhen recently underwent a 100 million yuan renovation, which included the installation of a spa.
The Malaysian-managed Tamara Spa by Lifestyle is decked out Thai-style and, to add to the apparent 'international' theme, it uses American brand products Pevonia Botanica in its treatments.
The Tamara Spa concept is well known for its use of spices in treatments (Tamara means spices in Sanskrit) and, according to the spa, the healing and restorative power of spices are used holistically.
The spa menu lists more than 40 treatments, including a 90-minute Energy Booster ($750) said to be good for jet lag, and a full day's Lifestyle Timeless Rejuvenation package ($1,900), which includes an aromatic salt glow, thalasso wrap with aqua therapy, floral bath, massage, facial and spa cuisine.
Tamara Spa has three spa suites, a steam room, jacuzzi and aqua therapy facilities.
There is also a swimming pool and even a barbecue area, bar, playground and golf putting green.
