The world's biggest mobile phone maker has finally released a small 3G phone.
The Nokia 6233 joins other candy bar 3G models in offering all the capabilities of third generation services, including fast internet access and video calling.
It all comes in a package that resembles the phones Nokia has been using for the past five years.
The 6233 isn't the lightest model at 110 grams, but it's only 18mm thick and comes with two integrated cameras: a 2-megapixel still camera on the back and a VGA-quality camera on the front for video calls.
The 6233 also comes with all the extra trimmings of a new phone, including now-standard features such as an MP3 and video player, MMS, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB connectivity to PCs, as well as expandable microSD memory cards.
In addition to 3G support in the form of UMTS/WCDMA - which is available from SmarTone, PCCW, 3 and CSL - the 6233 will also support EDGE, the enhanced data access service that is not quite 3G but better than GPRS.
