MUSICAL ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL ANTICS About 100 students aged nine to 21 will stage a musical after a three-week training programme organised by the Summer Music School of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Set in the late 1950s, Grease is about the highs and lows of a group of teenagers at a high school. The show begins with Sandy, an innocent girl, and Danny - a rough type - falling in love over the summer holidays. Later, they attend the same school and decide to rekindle their romance despite interference from their friends. Grease will be staged on Friday and Saturday at 8pm, with a weekend matinee at 3pm, at the academy's Drama Theatre. Tickets at HK$100 are available from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288. FUNNY SIDE OF OLYMPICS Spanish theatre group Yllana will stage a hilarious sports show, Olimplaff, which will feature mime and upbeat music. The solemn world of the Olympics will fall prey to Yllana's comic artistry. The athletes enter a crazy sports game where weights seem to have a life of their own and a finish line goes mysteriously missing. Olimplaff will be staged on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm, with a weekend matinee at 3pm, at Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre. Student tickets cost HK$100, HK$75 and HK$50 (HK$200, HK$150 and HK$100 for adults). For reservations, call Urbtix on 2734 9009.
