Yeung Kin-ping (left) and Wong On-ching perform part of the famous opera Dae Nui Fa at Langham Place hotel, Mongkok, yesterday, to celebrate the release of a  restored soundtrack from  the classic 1959 Cantonese opera movie, Princess Cheung Ping.

The unveiling  was a prelude to next year's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the masterpiece and to promote local culture. The  restoration carried out by Crown Record Company  contains three of the movie's most famous songs, including the heart-wrenching  Heung Yiu (Fragrant Death). It is being released in DVD-Audio format and a full version of the film will be released later.
