Aimee Chan beams with pride as she tries on her spangled winner's cape at the close of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant
at the Hong Kong Coliseum last night. The 25-year-old graphic designer and digital artist defeated 15 other contestants to take the Miss Hong Kong crown. Flanking her on the left is first runner-up Janet Chow Ka-wai, 22, a university student from Toronto, and on the right second runner-up Koni Lui Wai-yee, 23, a postgraduate research student.
Ms Chan also took the title of 'Miss International Goodwill', while Ms Chow was named 'Miss Photogenic'.

The event was broadcast to New Zealand, Singapore and Australia, and there was an online broadcast for viewers in the mainland.
