At a couple of internet cafes around town unusual mouse pads have popped up. Featuring a pair of bare breasts with the legend 'Examine regularly' emblazoned across them, the pads direct people to the breastcancerhk.org website, which gives advice on how to carry out self-examination of breasts. The risque 'breast pads' were the brainchild of Paul Chan from advertising agency Grey Worldwide. 'Breastcancerhk.org is a small organisation and we're doing pro bono work for them. Breast cancer is a very serious issue. One in 23 people in Hong Kong will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and five people are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.' He said only about a dozen 'breast pads' were created and sent to two internet cafes. Despite the limited distribution, he hopes the provocative pads will raise awareness.
