If someone is depressed, they may eat a lot and not want to exercise. They may spend a lot of time alone. They probably won't want to talk to other people.

Therefore they put on a lot of weight. And because they don't mix with others, they may not realise how unhealthy they have become.

Having friends is very important. Friends can help us avoid depression. Laughing with them will help us keep fit.
