How to get there

Entry requirements: General education up to at least HKCEE level with five passes including Chinese and English Language. Five years of work experience, preferably in customer service. Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English. The ability to communicate in Putonghua and/or other languages is an advantage. Outgoing and customer service-oriented. Willing to perform shift duties at irregular hours (from 5pm to 2am)

Training provided: nine weeks' training, including six weeks in the Operations Training Centre and three weeks on-the-job training

Promotion prospects:  After 15 months' service, a Station Operator may join a voluntary training course organised by  the Operations Training Centre. Staff who successfully complete the course and pass the requisite exams will progress to Senior Station Operator. When vacancies arise, qualified Station Operators/Senior Station Operators may apply for promotion. Based on individual performance, staff who pass the promotion assessments may advance to Station Supervisor, and then to Station Officer, Senior Station Officer and

so on.
