12th case of legionnaires' disease confirmed

The Centre for Health Protection yesterday confirmed the 12th case of legionnaires' disease this year. An 84-year-old man from Kwai Chung was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on Monday complaining of dizziness, shortness of breath and vomiting. The patient, who has not travelled recently, is in  stable condition. It is the eighth locally contracted case of the disease this year. There were 11 cases last year.
